Abstract
No deaths or treatment-related systemic organ toxicities were observed in cynomolgus monkeys administered efsubaglutide alfa.
- Reduced food intake and decreased body weight gain were noted early during dosing, likely due to the drug's pharmacological effects.
- Reversible, dose-related inflammation at injection sites was the primary microscopic finding.
- Systemic exposure to efsubaglutide alfa increased with dose but remained stable over time without significant accumulation.
- Anti-drug antibodies were detected at a low incidence and did not lead to clinically meaningful changes in safety or drug exposure.
- The highest dose tested, 3 mg/kg, was determined to be the no observed adverse effect level (NOAEL) for this study.
