Alisol A 24-Acetate Prevents Fat Build-Up and Metabolic Problems in Liver Cells

Updated

Abstract

Alisol A 24-acetate significantly decreased intracellular triglyceride content and lipid droplet numbers in a liver cell model of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

  • Alisol A 24-acetate reduced the levels of inflammatory cytokines TNF-α and IL-6.
  • The treatment increased the expressions of Adiponectin and the phosphorylation of AMPKα, CPT1, and ACOX1.
  • SREBP-1c, ACC, and FAS expressions were decreased at both protein and mRNA levels following treatment.
  • No significant effect on PPARα expression was observed with Alisol A 24-acetate.
