Aldometanib significantly mitigated cognitive deficits and weight loss in D-galactose-induced aging mice.

  • Cognitive function was improved as measured by tests such as the novel object recognition test and Morris water maze.
  • Aldometanib alleviated neuronal atrophy and loss in the hippocampus and cortex.
  • The treatment downregulated senescence markers P53, P21, and P16 while increasing total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC) levels.
  • Mechanistically, Aldometanib activated the AMPK/ACC pathway, suppressed mTOR phosphorylation, and enhanced autophagy.
  • In vitro assays confirmed Aldometanib's effects on energy metabolism and autophagy regulation in brain cells.
