A total of 1399 participants completed the study, with 71.8% reporting non-problematic Facebook use.
- Among the 1353 students using Facebook, the median addiction score was 13, with a range from 6 to 30.
- Participants reported spending a median of 3 hours per day on Facebook.
- The internal consistency of the Arabic version of the Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale was strong, with a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.87.
- Higher scores on the Facebook addiction scale were significantly associated with increased addiction to video games.
- Students with higher Facebook addiction scores also reported significantly higher levels of depression.
