Abstract
A comparative evaluation of autoimmune disease incidence was conducted among patients treated with three diabetes medications.
- Dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors (DPP-4i), glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RA), and sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) are commonly prescribed for type 2 diabetes.
- The immunologic safety of these medications in relation to autoimmune diseases is currently unclear.
- This evaluation aims to clarify the incidence of autoimmune diseases among patients using these treatments.
