Partially reversible sudden vision loss in both eyes and blocked small retinal artery after semaglutide use: a case report

Bilateral non-arteritic optic neuropathy (NA-AION) may occur following exposure to semaglutide.

• A case of NA-AION was reported in a patient with a history of unilateral branch retinal artery occlusion (BRAO).
• Discontinuation of semaglutide led to partial improvement in bilateral disc swelling.
• There was also a partial recovery of visual function after stopping the medication.
