Abstract
Five-day administration of antioxidants at a dose of 2 × 10⁻⁹ mol/kg prevented lipid peroxidation in mice under acute hypobaric hypoxia.
- The antioxidants CAR-3-HP and CCR-3-HP demonstrated high antiradical activity by inhibiting lipid peroxidation.
- Administration of CAR-3-HP was more effective than CCR-3-HP in preventing lipid peroxidation.
- Antioxidant treatment maintained levels of C₁₈ and C₂₀ fatty acids in liver mitochondrial membranes during stress.
- The antioxidants activated autophagy markers LC3 and Beclin-1 in response to stress conditions.
- CAR-3-HP significantly increased the lifespan of mice under various hypoxic conditions.
