Abstract

Patients with high CAF infiltration scores had shorter biochemical recurrence-free survival (BCRFS) times.

  • CAFs are involved in the tumor immune microenvironment and extracellular matrix remodeling in prostate cancer.
  • Two subtypes of prostate cancer, C1 and C2, were identified, with the C1 subtype associated with a worse prognosis.
  • A total of 253 significantly differentially expressed genes were found, with 13 showing prognostic significance.
  • The BCR-related CAF signature was confirmed as an independent prognostic factor for biochemical recurrence.
  • A nomogram model demonstrated high accuracy for predicting biochemical recurrence based on clinical characteristics and risk scores.
