Abstract

This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated cancer outcomes among adults with type 2 diabetes using glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs).

  • GLP-1RAs may influence cancer outcomes in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
  • The analysis assessed both overall cancer incidence and site-specific cancer types.
  • Uncertainty exists regarding the specific biological mechanisms by which GLP-1RAs could affect tumor development.
