Abstract
Cannabis use is rising among adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
- The interaction between cannabis use and the cardio-renal benefits of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) is not well understood.
- There may be implications for treatment strategies in patients with T2DM who use cannabis.
- Future investigations are needed to determine how cannabis may influence the effects of GLP-1 RAs.
