Long-term results of CD19 CAR T-cell therapy for relapsed acute lymphoblastic leukemia after stem cell transplant

Updated

Abstract

Of the 34 eligible patients, 30 achieved minimal residual disease-negative complete remission (CR), resulting in a total CR rate of 85.7%.

  • After a median follow-up of 20.7 months, 17 patients relapsed at a median of 4.5 months.
  • The cumulative recurrence rate at 18 months was 68.3%.
  • Additional treatment did not reduce the recurrence rate but appeared to delay the time to relapse.
  • Patients with a lower tumor burden (≤10%) experienced a significantly lower recurrence rate of 25.0% compared to 78.6% at 12 months.
  • The overall survival rate for complete remission patients was 30.0% at 18 months, with a median overall survival of 12.7 months.
