Cerebralcare Granule® may improve brain fluid drainage to support brain health in Alzheimer's disease models

Updated

Abstract

Cerebralcare Granule® (CG) treatment significantly improved cognitive function in mice with Alzheimer's disease.

  • CG reduced the accumulation of neurotoxic amyloid-β (Aβ) proteins in the brain.
  • Improvements in glymphatic transport and meningeal lymphatic drainage were observed.
  • CG restored the proper function of aquaporin-4 (AQP4) proteins, aiding in fluid exchange.
  • Key compounds in CG, such as paeoniflorin and rhynchophylline, may target important lymphatic pathways.
  • Enhancements in the blood-brain barrier integrity were noted, which could protect against disease progression.
