Essence

In people with multiple sclerosis, post-COVID-19 syndrome was uncommon but linked to repeated SARS-CoV-2 infections and category I disease-modifying therapies.

Evidence

A two-center cross-sectional survey of 107 people with multiple sclerosis found 7 PCS cases (6.5%), with higher infection counts and category I therapies overrepresented among affected patients.

Caveat

With only 7 PCS cases and survey-based cross-sectional data, the study cannot prove that infection burden or DMT category caused PCS.
