Circular RNA Circ_0005615 may promote multiple myeloma by working with EIF4A3 to control m6A modification of MAP3K4 through ALKBH5

Updated

Abstract

Circ_0005615 was found to be upregulated in multiple myeloma (MM).

  • Overexpression of circ_0005615 may promote cell viability and invasion while suppressing apoptosis in MM cells.
  • Knockdown of circ_0005615 appears to reverse its effects on cell survival and invasion.
  • Circ_0005615 is associated with an interaction module involving EIF4A3, ALKBH5, and MAP3K4.
  • Increased circ_0005615 levels may lead to higher m6A methylation of MAP3K4 by inhibiting ALKBH5.
  • Overexpression of ALKBH5 could diminish the effects of circ_0005615 on MAP3K4 methylation and tumor progression.
  • The proposed mechanisms and functions of circ_0005615 have been confirmed through in vivo experiments.
