Testing thinking problems after COVID using traditional paper tests and new digital tests

Updated

Abstract

The mean ACE-III score for individuals with post-Covid syndrome was 91/100.

  • 15.7% of participants scored at or below the cut-off for objective cognitive impairment on the ACE-III.
  • Of those tested on the Long COVID Assessment Battery, 89.47% demonstrated impairment in at least one cognitive domain.
  • Impairments were primarily observed in attention, executive function, and processing speed.
  • Cognitive performance on the ACE-III was not associated with levels of depression, anxiety, sleep quality, or fatigue.
  • Legacy cognitive tests like the ACE-III may be inadequate for detecting cognitive deficits in post-Covid syndrome.
