Cold plasma's impact on inflammation and joint damage in arthritis-related joint cells

Updated

Abstract

Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) decreased cell viability in osteoarthritic fibroblast-like synoviocytes (OA-FLS).

  • CAP exerted cytotoxic effects on OA-FLS cells.
  • Treatment with CAP reduced the production of IL-6 in OA-FLS cells.
  • The expression of inflammatory and destructive factors remained similar between CAP-treated and untreated OA-FLS groups.
