Abstract
Adjunct therapy may help improve glycemic management in people with type 1 diabetes.
- Many individuals with type 1 diabetes struggle to reach target glycemic levels despite advanced insulin treatments.
- Adjunct therapies aim to lower hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) and improve health outcomes, including weight management.
- Incretin-based therapies and SGLT-1/2 inhibitors are currently used off-label for type 1 diabetes.
- These therapies could offer a promising approach for better glycemic control and additional health benefits.
