Abstract
Evidence on coronary artery disease (CAD)-related outcomes from randomized controlled trials of semaglutide and tirzepatide is limited.
- Semaglutide and tirzepatide are used for treating metabolic diseases through incretin-based therapy.
- Current knowledge about CAD outcomes specifically related to these drugs has been primarily derived from separate trials.
- Different control groups in these randomized trials complicate the synthesis of findings across various CAD phenotypes.
- Focus on CAD-related outcomes in adults with type 2 diabetes and/or obesity remains insufficient.
