What High School Students Know, Believe, and Do About COVID-19 and Its Vaccine

Updated

Abstract

Out of 16,789 eligible respondents, 97.4% reported being vaccinated against COVID-19.

  • The main reason for not being vaccinated was difficulty accessing a vaccine (37.2%).
  • Younger individuals, especially those under 18, were more likely to be unvaccinated.
  • Those with overweight/obesity or immunosuppression were also more likely to remain unvaccinated.
  • People who considered hypertension as a risk factor or regularly used face masks were more likely to be vaccinated.
  • High vaccination rates may have aided in safely returning to in-person activities at UNAM HSC.
