Curculigoside shows efficacy in models of nine central nervous system disorders.

  • Curculigoside demonstrates potential therapeutic effects in Alzheimer's disease, post-traumatic stress disorder, major depressive disorder, cerebral ischemic stroke, post-stroke depression, perioperative neurocognitive disorders, vascular dementia, and spinal cord injury.
  • The mechanisms of action include enhancing neurotransmitter systems and reducing neurotoxic proteins.
  • Curculigoside may improve synaptic plasticity and exert anti-apoptotic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-ferroptotic effects.
