Using advanced computer models to create mRNA sequences that translate better and last longer

Updated

Abstract

GEMORNA-designed full-length mRNAs exhibited up to a 41-fold increase in firefly luciferase expression compared with an optimized benchmark.

  • The generative RNA model is based on transformer architectures tailored for mRNA coding sequences and untranslated regions.
  • Therapeutic mRNAs generated by GEMORNA achieved up to a 15-fold enhancement in human erythropoietin expression.
  • GEMORNA substantially elicited antibody titers of a COVID vaccine in mice.
  • The model also enhanced circular mRNA expression, boosting antitumor activity in chimeric antigen receptor T cells.
