Diabetes Going Into Remission Without Medication After Efsubaglutide Alfa Treatment in People with Type 2 Diabetes

Updated

Abstract

The diabetes remission rate was 60% at 3 months post-discontinuation of efsubaglutide alfa.

  • At 6 months post-treatment, the probability of maintaining HbA1c < 7% was 58.1%.
  • At 12 months post-treatment, this probability decreased to 41.4%.
  • Time in range for glucose levels significantly improved from 46.4% at baseline to 89.1% at 52 weeks of treatment.
  • Post-treatment, time in range decreased to 70.1% at 3 months, 68.1% at 6 months, and 64.1% at 12 months.
  • Patients who achieved remission had lower baseline HbA1c and higher BMI values, with notable reductions in waist circumference and postprandial glucose levels.
