Mean DNA methylation PhenoAge was 53.7 years, significantly lower than the chronological age of 61.1 years (p < 0.001).

  • A multicenter registry study analyzed 200 patients undergoing surgeries for adult spinal deformity (ASD).
  • Models incorporating DNA methylation PhenoAge exhibited higher discrimination for predicting perioperative adverse events compared to chronological age, with AUC values ranging from 0.701 to 0.823.
