Abstract

Silencing DYNC1I1 may improve autophagic-lysosomal function in models of Parkinson's disease.

  • Targeting DYNC1I1 was investigated in cellular and mouse models of Parkinson's disease.
  • Cells treated with 1mM MPP+ for 48 hours exhibited altered autophagic-lysosomal status.
  • Male C57BL/6 mice received 30mg/kg/day of MPTP for 5 consecutive days to induce Parkinson's-like symptoms.
  • Motor performance in mice was assessed using pole and rotarod tests.
  • The study analyzed gene expression data from post-mortem substantia nigra samples of Parkinson's patients.
