Liraglutide's impact on how much energy teenagers with ongoing obesity eat after stomach surgery

Updated

Abstract

A 4.3% reduction in BMI was observed in adolescents with obesity one year after vertical sleeve gastrectomy.

  • Changes in energy intake (ΔEI) were evaluated in relation to obesity management following vertical sleeve gastrectomy.
  • Associations were found between ΔEI and outcomes from oral glucose tolerance tests (OGTT).
  • End-of-trial liraglutide plasma concentrations were assessed in relation to ΔEI and OGTT outcomes.
