Soybean pre-digestion and fermentation with sugar-loving bacteria to explore mental health benefits

Essence

FLAB fermentation of pre-digested soybeans may enrich metabolites with psychobiotic potential.

Evidence

This formulation and in silico platform experiment screened six FLAB strains, fermented pre-digested soybeans with selected strains, and profiled amino acids, phenolics, peptides, antioxidant activity, antinutritional factors, and predicted neuroactive properties.

Caveat

The mental health relevance is inferred from metabolite profiles and computational predictions, with no in vivo or human outcome testing.
