Abstract

A survival prediction model based on DNA methylation data demonstrated strong performance for predicting all-cause mortality.

  • A total of 190 CpG loci were identified using elastic net Cox regression.
  • The model was constructed by fusing five complementary survival models with a neural network meta-learner.
  • Performance for predicting all-cause mortality significantly exceeded that of PhenoAge.
  • The model's performance was statistically comparable to GrimAge.
  • Results were validated in a cohort of postmenopausal women aged 50-79 years of European ancestry.
