Using enzymes to map pseudouridine changes across all RNA transcripts

Updated

Abstract

Essence

ELAP-seq offers an enzymatic way to enrich and map pseudouridine sites in cellular RNA with single-nucleotide resolution.

Evidence

This platform experiment used the Mj1640 methyltransferase in vitro and inside cells, then applied ELAP-seq to human HeLa and HEK 293 T transcriptomes.

Caveat

The reported transcriptome sites are candidates from a method-development study in limited cell systems, not evidence of broad functional effects.
