  • Ethanol exposure led to notable changes in genes related to innate immune pathways, inflammation, and microglial activation.
  • Microglial activation was confirmed through morphological changes and increased expression of CD68.
  • Elevated expression of TREM2 and its alternatively spliced isoforms was detected, which may produce soluble TREM2.
