Abstract
This pilot crossover trial compared evening high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and moderate-intensity interval training (MIIT) in adults with obesity.
- Circadian rhythm disruption may influence metabolic dysfunction and obesity.
- High-intensity interval training and moderate-intensity interval training both impact circadian core body temperature rhythm.
- The trial aimed to assess differences in 24-hour glucose regulation between HIIT and MIIT.
- Effects on sleep quality were also evaluated in relation to the type of exercise performed.
