Essence

Circular RNA prolonged expression and improved antibody titers versus unmodified linear RNA, while modified linear RNA had a smaller platelet decrease in mice.

Evidence

Comparative in vitro and mouse RNA vaccine platform experiment using influenza HA measured expression duration, neutralizing antibodies, cell-mediated responses, and day-2 reticulocyte, monocyte, alkaline phosphatase, and platelet changes through recovery by day 14.

Caveat

The study compared platform readouts in vitro and in mice rather than testing protection or human clinical performance.
