Fluvoxamine and Metformin may reduce fatigue in long COVID patients: A flexible clinical trial

Fluvoxamine reduced long COVID fatigue at 60 and 90 days, while metformin showed no significant benefit.

Evidence

This randomized, placebo-controlled adaptive trial enrolled 399 Brazilian outpatients with fatigue lasting at least 90 days after confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Caveat

Follow-up lasted only 90 days and the primary outcome focused on fatigue, leaving durability and effects on other long COVID symptoms uncertain.
