Abstract

Tirzepatide is the first approved medication for moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

  • Tirzepatide may help reduce cardiovascular risks in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
  • The effects of GLP-1 receptor agonists on preventing cardiovascular and pulmonary complications in patients with OSA and T2DM were analyzed.
  • The follow-up period for observing these effects was 5 years.
