Abstract
Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) may be linked to nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), which accounts for approximately 75% of ischemic optic neuropathy cases in adults.
- Limited data exist on the relationship between GLP-1RAs and NAION.
- NAION is a prevalent form of ischemic optic neuropathy in adults.
- The association between GLP-1RAs and NAION has not been extensively evaluated.
