Possible effects of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor drugs on recovery after spine surgery

Abstract

The association between glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1RA) use and surgical outcomes was evaluated.

GLP-1RA use may be linked to perioperative outcomes in spine surgery.
Postoperative outcomes could vary with the use of GLP-1RA.
Fusion-related outcomes may also be associated with GLP-1RA administration.
