Abstract

Three-times-daily administration of the mitiglinide/voglibose combination significantly suppressed postprandial hyperglycemia after each meal.

  • Patients with type 2 diabetes receiving the combination experienced improved blood sugar control after meals.
  • Significant increases in active glucagon-like peptide-1 levels were observed following each meal.
  • Early-phase insulin secretion increased without causing excessive insulin release.
  • Postprandial hyperglycemia was notably higher after lunch with twice-daily administration compared to three-times-daily.
  • No clinically relevant differences were found in other metabolic responses between the two administration schedules.
