Updated

Abstract

Participants using the Pacifica app for 1 month showed significant improvements in symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress.

  • Active participants experienced greater decreases in depression, anxiety, and stress compared to those in the waitlist group.
  • Improvements in self-efficacy were also observed among those using the app.
  • No overall relationship was found between app engagement and symptom improvement.
  • Participants who completed more thought record exercises maintained symptom improvements through a 2-month follow-up.
  • Those concurrently taking psychiatric medications reported lesser benefits from the app.
