Essence

Greater gastrointestinal symptoms were associated with more severe vestibular migraine disability and vertigo symptoms in this Pakistani clinical sample.

Evidence

A cross-sectional study of 386 vestibular migraine patients at Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, used GSRS, MIDAS, VSS-SF, correlations, ANOVA, t-tests, and multiple linear regression to examine gut-brain-axis symptoms and VM severity.

Caveat

Convenience sampling and cross-sectional self-report measures limit causal inference and leave gut-targeted treatment effects untested.
