Abstract

Home-based multidimensional survivorship programmes may improve breast cancer-specific quality of life by a mean difference of 4.55 points immediately after intervention.

  • Improvements in global quality of life were also observed, with a mean difference of 4.38 points as measured by the EORTC C30 immediately following the intervention.
  • At one to three months post-intervention, quality of life scores remained elevated for breast cancer-specific measures, showing a mean difference of 6.10 points for the FACT-B.
  • Reduction in anxiety was noted immediately after the intervention, with a mean difference of -1.01 on the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale.
  • No significant differences in quality of life were seen at four to six months or twelve months after the intervention.
  • Improvements in fatigue and insomnia were associated with the programmes, with mean differences of -1.11 and -1.81, respectively, immediately after the intervention.
