HLJDD significantly improved survival rates in a rat model of sepsis.

  • In late sepsis, HLJDD reduced levels of immunosuppressive IL-10 and CD4CD25T cell populations.
  • HLJDD protected CD4 and CD8 T cells from apoptosis, enhancing immune function.
  • The treatment altered the gut microbiota by increasing beneficial bacteria and decreasing harmful species.
  • Metabolomic analysis indicated that HLJDD modulated short-chain fatty acid levels in a time-dependent manner.
  • These changes in metabolism were linked to improved intestinal barrier function and balanced immune responses.
