Abstract
Breathlessness is identified as a common symptom in long COVID.
- Hyperpolarised xenon magnetic resonance imaging (129Xe-MRI) was utilized to investigate potential abnormalities.
- The study targeted never-hospitalised individuals who had no identified cause for their breathlessness.
- Abnormalities in the alveolar-capillary membrane may be present but were not detectable by standard investigative methods.
