Abstract

Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) may improve metabolic health before conception.

  • The impact of GLP-1 RAs on hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP) is not yet established.
  • There is a potential link between GLP-1 RAs and improved metabolic health in women planning for pregnancy.
  • Further research is needed to clarify the safety of GLP-1 RAs during early pregnancy.
