Abstract

COMBINE 4 assessed the efficacy and safety of IcoSema, a combination therapy of basal insulin icodec and semaglutide, in type 2 diabetes management.

  • IcoSema may improve glycaemic control compared to insulin glargine U100.
  • The combination therapy could potentially reduce weight gain in individuals with type 2 diabetes.
  • IcoSema is associated with a lower risk of hypoglycaemia compared to glargine U100.
  • Participants were those already using oral glucose-lowering medications.
