International Expert Agreement on One-Anastomosis Gastric Bypass Surgery Based on a Modified Delphi Study

Abstract

At least 70% consensus was achieved for 65 of 90 questions regarding one-anastomosis gastric bypass (OAGB-MGB).

  • Consensus was reached on 72.2% of the items, with 61 items achieving agreement in the first voting round.
  • In binary agree/disagree questions, there was agreement in 53 of 56 cases (94.6%).
  • For statements comparing OAGB-MGB to other procedures, the favorable option was selected in 56.5% of instances.
  • Despite the general agreement on the effectiveness and safety of OAGB-MGB, significant areas of disagreement persist.
  • Further empirical data is needed to address unresolved issues surrounding the procedure.
