Abstract
Adolescent micronutrient intake is related to sleep health outcomes.
- Higher intake of folic acid, potassium, calcium, magnesium, vitamin D, vitamin K, and iron may be associated with earlier chronotype.
- Increased micronutrient intake could lead to reduced daytime sleepiness.
- Earlier DLMO timing is potentially linked to higher levels of specific micronutrients.
- Less circadian misalignment may be associated with adequate consumption of certain vitamins and minerals.
