Insomnia, Sleepiness, and Tiredness in Polish Nurses

Abstract

Among 200 surveyed Polish nurses, 47.8% reported insomnia.

  • 70.5% of the invited nurses participated in the survey.
  • 50.0% of the nurses exceeded the threshold for fatigue compared to the general population.
  • A correlation exists between insomnia and levels of sleepiness.
  • Insomnia is also correlated with levels of fatigue.
  • No differences in fatigue and sleepiness were found based on night shift work.
