Coordinated care approach for people with Long COVID tested in a large clinical trial

Updated

Abstract

A total of 1,152 participants were recruited for a phase 3 clinical trial evaluating integrated care pathways for Long COVID.

  • Mean Fatigue Assessment Scale (FAS) scores improved by 4.5 points to 31.3 at 12 weeks across all intervention arms.
  • No significant differences in fatigue reduction were observed between multi-organ MRI, digital rehabilitation, and usual care.
  • Baseline FAS scores were equivalent across all groups, with a mean of 35.8.
  • Multidisciplinary holistic clinical care is associated with fatigue reduction in Long COVID.
  • Digital rehabilitation may be beneficial for long-term management of Long COVID.
