Abstract
LAMP2A expression is associated with the induction of neurogenesis in neural stem cells.
- Chaperone Mediated Autophagy (CMA) is active in neural stem cells (NSCs).
- Overexpression and loss-of-function of LAMP2A suggest it plays an inductive role in neuronal differentiation.
- LAMP2A influences NSC fate decisions by interfering with the NOTCH1 signaling pathway.
- CMA may contribute to neuronal fate acquisition through the suppression of NOTCH1 signaling.
- These findings provide a framework to understand the link between LAMP2 and neurodevelopmental disorders.
