Abstract

The LicA@chitosan-hyaluronic acid hydrogel significantly accelerated wound healing in mice.

  • The hydrogel exhibited a porous structure suitable for drug delivery.
  • LicA was effectively loaded into the chitosan-hyaluronic acid hydrogel.
  • The hydrogel demonstrated good biological safety and inhibited Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.
  • Positive expression of CD31, VEGF, and HIF-1α was induced, suggesting enhanced blood vessel formation.
  • The hydrogel down-regulated M1 macrophage markers while increasing M2 macrophage markers, indicating a shift in inflammatory response.
