Ultrasound-Activated Bionic Nanoparticles for Combined Therapy Against Medullary Thyroid Cancer

Updated

Abstract

Cell viability decreased to 0.9% with an 86.8% total apoptosis rate observed in MTC cells treated with MHGA@P-LNs under LIFU irradiation.

  • MHGA@P-LNs demonstrated a uniform structure and high drug encapsulation efficiency.
  • LIFU treatment resulted in increased reactive oxygen species production and cellular uptake in MZ-CRC-1 cells.
  • Wound closure was measured at 3.7%, indicating significant impairment of cell migration.
  • The hemolysis rate in mouse red blood cells was below 3%, suggesting good hemocompatibility.
  • Results are preliminary and limited to in vitro conditions, necessitating further animal studies for validation.
